Synovial Chondromatosis
Everyone knows about my manky knee! Since the age of 18 I had had trouble with it, locking and giving way. Eventually I was diagnosed as suffering from Synovial Chondromatosis. It’s a rare disease of the synovium (joint lining) in my knee and well, is manky! A couple of years back I set up a forum and website so that other sufferers of the disease could get together and talk about the problems they face not just in the symptoms that are exhibited but also with having the disease treated properly. The site now has over 200 people registered with it and has regular updates from members exchanging ideas and stories.
